All golfers registering through an MGA Member Club or through our online membership will receive the same services. Players will be entered in our email distribution list to receive Association News and the GHIN eRevisions with updated handicap information on the 1st and 15th of every month.
What are My Options for Membership?
1. Join at a Mississippi Member Club
The Mississippi Golf Association offers golf facilities in our state a Member Club Program that includes the opportunity to use the GHIN Handicap Service as a benefit to their members. You may consider a membership at a golf facility near you or many public facilities offer the GHIN Handicap Service to guests of the club.

3. Start Your Own Club
Do you have friends that you play with frequently at different courses. Perhaps your company or group of playing partners would like to be recognized as a club and keep GHIN Handicaps. Please let us know if you have an interest in this opportunity and we can provide more details on how to get started. A club would need to be formed with a minimum of 20 golfers to meet the general requirements with USGA Licensing. Please email Emily - emily@missgolf.org with any questions about forming a club.
Under Par Club
The Under Par Club was formed for golfers who are no longer in junior golf but wish to continue a USGA handicap index using the GHIN handicap computation service. A golfer registering for this membership must be between the age of 19 and 29. Members of the Under Par Club are eligible to play in any MGA State Championship.
Masters Club
The Masters Club has been formed as an additional membership option for golfers to have an opportunity to establish a USGA handicap index using the GHIN handicap computation service and eligbility to play in MGA State Championships.
One unique feature of the GHIN handicap computation service is the eRevision. Your USGA Handicap Index information will be e-mailed to you automatically every revision! In addition to your USGA Handicap Index, the eRevision contains other valuable information such as your handicap scoring record, Handicap Index History, and Association News.
Championship Eligibility
Participants in Mississippi Golf Association State Championships are required to have an established GHIN handicap index at a Mississippi Member Club to meet the eligibility requirements of our championships. If a participant's home club is not a Mississippi Member Club using the MGA GHIN Service, he or she will have to join the MGA as Masters Club Member. All active golfers on the Mississippi GHIN Service are individual members of the association and will receive emails, eligibility to participate in our championships, and other selected membership amenities.
