Lou Hart Magnolia Scholarship
The Lou Weddington Hart Magnolia Junior Scholarship was created to honor one of Mississippi’s most decorated female amateur golfers and someone who made a major impact on the growth of the game not only through her personal playing career but through her coaching, mentoring, and education of the game she so dearly loved. The Lou Weddington Hart Magnolia Scholarship was formed to assist young female golfers in Mississippi, with the objective of assisting in their higher education. The Foundation has 501-© 3 Tax Exempt Status, and is funded through donations by clubs and individuals, fundraisers, and golf tournaments. The Lou Weddington Hart Magnolia Scholarship is presented to one deserving young lady each year.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Be a graduate of a secondary accredited school where she has shown academic excellence, good citizenship, good sportsmanship, and community involvement
2. Be in need of assistance to pursue an undergraduate education in a college or University in Mississippi
3. Have an active interest in the game of golf
4. Be a bona fide resident of Mississippi
Please include two letters of recommendation, ACT/SAT scores, High School transcript, and a picture (head shot) of yourself. All information needs to be received by May 17, 2023, and sent to:
