Men's State Championships
Championships are open to male amateurs that are bona fide residents of the State of Mississippi for at least 60 days prior to the first round. All participants in state championships are required to hold an active GHIN Handicap Number through a USGA Licensed Mississippi Member Club. Competitors must conform to the Rules of Amateur Status as defined by the USGA.

Women's State Championships

Competitors must conform to the Rules of Amateur Status as defined by the USGA.

MJGA Eligibility
MJGA Membership is open to boys and girls who are Mississippi residents, through the summer immediately following graduation from high school or their 19th birthday, whichever comes first. Players must be bona fide residents of the state of Mississippi and MJGA members to be eligible to compete in the MS Boys and Girls Junior Amateur Championship. Competitors must conform to the Rules of Amateur Status as defined by the USGA. This eligibility also applies to the junior cup teams. Juniors representing Mississippi on a team must be residents of the state of Mississippi and current MJGA members for 60 continous days prior to the matches. MJGA points will only be awarded to current MJGA Members and residents of the state of Mississippi. Since MJGA players are minors, the parents/guardian's residency will be used to determine if the players are eligible for MJGA Events, MS Junior Amateur, MS Junior Teams, and BankPlus Sanderson Farms Junior Pro Am. Additional eligibility requirements will be noted in the inidividual tournament details.
Rules and Regulations
All entrants agree to abide by all MGA and MJGA Rules and Regulations concerning dress codes, gentlemanly conduct on the Club premises and course beverage policies. All Tournaments are soft spike only events. Appropriate golf attire is required at all events. The dress code of the host facility will prevail if there is any question. Individuals may not bring beverages on the club premises. Constestants (and their caddies, if permitted) are to observe proper golf etiquette at all times. Any abuse or disrespect of fellow competitors, officials, spectators, employees of the host facility, or other persons conducting or attending an MGA sponsored event can be grounds for disqualification from the event and possible rejection of entry for future MGA events. Such abuse may be verbal or physical or threat thereof and includes, but is not limited to: the use of obscene language, physical damage to property or equipment of the MGA or host facility.
Refund Policy
MGA: If a player withdraws prior to the deadline he will receive a full refund, minus a $25 administrative fee. If a player withdraws after the entry deadline has passed, the player will not receive a refund.
MJGA: If a player withdraws prior to the deadline he will receive a full refund, minus a $25 administrative fee. If a player withdraws after the entry deadline has passed, the player will not receive a refund.
Sanctioned and Non-MGA Tournaments: Tournaments that are sanctioned by the MGA or MJGA have their own policies. Individuals who wish to withdraw should consult that tournamant host or director.
