August 3, 2017 - 2017 Southern Junior Cup Finishes With More Beautiful Weather

Oxford, MS- The second day of the 2017 Southern Junior Cup had each team sending out all of their players to compete in singles matches. It started with each state having the opportunity to grab enough points to take home the trophy. After the matches were completed, Team Alabama were the ones who finished on top. They compiled a total of 19.5 points over the two days, while Team Mississippi and Team Arkansas each had 10.5 points at the end. Team Missouri finished in fourth with a total of 7.5 points. We would like to thank all of the states for coming to Mississippi for the event. Also thank you very much to Country Club of Oxford for hosting a fantastic event and accommodating all of the great junior golfers that were on display. 

August 2, 2017 - Chamber of Commerce Weather Opens First Day of 2017 Southern Junior Cup Matches

Oxford, MS- Southern Junior Cup opened up yeserday evening with a Parings Dinner Party hosted at the country Club of Oxford.  Teams enjoyed a wonderful meal, and the team captains Andy Priest (Alabama), Bryant Fortin (Arkansas), Scott Hovis (Missouri), Margo Coleman (Mississippi) announced their matches live at the dinner.  Teams departed the dinner, all with hopes of taking the Southern Junior Cup back to their home state.
